The long anticipated digital SLR camera from Canon is coming to a supported store near you. The Conon EOS 40D DSLR has some nice and new features compared to the previous EOS30D. Be prepared to pay $1299 for the camera and $1499 with the 28-135mm IS USM lens. Its main features and upgrades are as follow:
- A resolution increase and integration of several features from a camera class above it, any good photographer should easily notice a difference. The resolution goes from 8.2MP in the 30D to 10.1 in the 40D.
- Shoot pictures faster, a full 1.5fps faster.
- Added Live View and the LCD has gotten a half inch bigger.
- Digic III image processor, 9 cross-type AF sensors.
- Slightly larger viewfinder.
- Improve proofing from the external conditions and an integrated cleaner.
