Intel Xeon Processors X5365 and L5335 “boasts unprecedented combinations of performance and energy efficiency“. Both chips uses Intel Virtualization Technology to reduce overall energy consumption. X5365 is the industry’s first 1333MHz FSB 3.0 GHz quadcore processor to fit inside a standard 120W power envelope. The L5335 is a 1333MHz FSB 2.0 GHz that fits inside a 50W power envelope. Both chips are equipped with a new ststem-transparent energy smart technology which reduces idle power usage by up to 50%. The Xeon X5365 will be priced at $1,172 while the L5335 will be priced at $380.
