The new entry of Casio consumer digital camera, Casio Exilim HI ZOOM EX-V8. The EX-V8 comes with a 8.1-megapixel CCD, a 7x optical zoom to capture object from great distance, which expand to a maximum of 33.2x for VGA resolution. It support MPEG-4 H.264 video recording which is up to 1.5 times longer than standard MPEG-4 with the same memory capacity and picture quality. There is also a YouTube Capture Mode like the previous models, a proprietary exclusive to Casio Exilims. Powered by Exilim Engine 2.0, the camera delivers sharper photos and higher-quality videos using less energy than ever before – and at faster speeds, thanks to an improved signal processor.
With four advanced Anti-Blur Technologies now allow your Exilim to maintain focus and ensure sharp photos and videos – even when your subject is advancing toward or retreating from you, or when the tourist next to you accidentally bumps your elbow in mid-shutter snap. CCD Shift Stabilization helps eliminate soft images by allowing for handshake in dim lighting, and Casio’s enhanced Anti-Shake DSP, which reduces blur from shaky hands or moving subjects, combines with a new motion analysis technology to select the right ISO sensitivity and shutter speed to capture subjects based on their speed and direction. Even at high-zoom settings, the Exilim reduces image blur with its stabilization technologies, and when recording in video mode, a special mode kicks in to keep the action rolling smoothly.
Face-Detection/Recognition & Auto Tracking AF is another nice feature, which recognizes and detects registered faces automatically. Face Detection allows you to detect faces; Face Recognition allows you to choose face and priority of focus among other subjects. With High-Speed Continuous Flash Shutter, it allows up to three images to be shot in a split second while dispersing an equal amount of flash light for each image, all with a single press of the shutter.
