Apple developed 3G which allows you to download podcasts over-the-air. The new addition works for both audio and video. However there is a limitation of 10MB. Few months ago Podcast presented the application that had the functionality to download podcasts over-the-air. Apple dumped the application just to announce they are developing a similar one.

Apple has done many things to continue to make money on the IPhone. Nothing they do surprises me anymore.
