From the look of the product shots this could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your – literal – point of view. Anyway, it also comes with goodies like a 4.3 inch screen, MP3 music player, e-Book reader, FM transmitter for sending music to your car stereo and Bluetooth. £314.90.

Inngenio 6000 PMP

Energy Sistem is making a play for your DAP dollar with the steel-crafted Inngenio 6000. The player runs a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, with a built-in speaker, 2GB of storage and microSD expansion along for the ride. FM, voice recording, an e-book reader and some games are all included, and you can manage MP3, WMA and XVID playback. It’s available now — at least in Spain — for €90 (about $138 US).

TOMATO PMP

A company in Korea, Tomato (sound unbelievable?), has launched a new portable media player. It comes with a 2.4-inch LCD display, features a video and audio player, an e-Book reader, FM Radio and recorder, photo viewer. It has a built-in memory of 2GB and 4GB of choices, and weighs only 56.6g.

Available in white and black colors for €66 (4GB version)

PMP Equipped With Real 3MP Or 5MP Camera

The CMV9301 from Shenzhen Carav Electronics comes with your choice of a 3MP or 5MP camera, both of which are proudly not reached through interpolation. It doesn’t come with its own HDD, though (BYO 1.8-inch drive), but it does support AVI, MOV, MPEG-4 and ASF videos at 640×480 pixels and 30fps. MP3, WMA, PCM, ADPCM and WAV audio files are handled as well, in addition to various unspecified images.

The device has a 3-inch TFT display, which has an impressive 960×240-pixel resolution. Allowing use as a video and web camera, the CMV9301 has AV-in and -out capability, stereo speakers, line-in functionality and an SD slot for cards up to 4GB. It can be used for audio recording (WAV or ACT format) and as e-book reader. If that still isn’t enough for you, three games are preinstalled.

All-In-One MP4 Watch From Brando

Brando has released their second MP4 Watch, The MP4 Watch II ULIFE011600. The watch includes a MP4 player, Music Player, FM Radio, Voice Recorcer, Photo View, E-Book Reader, and of course a Digital Watch (DUH..). Just like any other mp4 player, all you have to do is plug it into a USB port and drag and drop your files. It features a 1.8-inch 65k colour display, a resolution of 160×128, and now with an internal speaker to share all your music wherever you go.

Korea-based manufacturer has developed a handhed e-Book reader called NUUT. NUUT has a 600×800 E-ink Vizplex display (168dpi) and is powered by a 250MHz ARM processor, 32MB ROM, and 512MB RAM. The book also has a SD media card expansion slot for more storage. It is also equipped with USB 2.0 and basic Digital Audio Player.
